In this Nintendo Wii game you toss the ping pong ball into the cups, but they are not filled with beer.

The upcoming JV Games Nintendo Wii game only looks like that favorite collage game Beer Pong, but it's really just a game where you toss a ping pong ball across a table into a triangular grouping of cups and it just looks like Beer Pong, but it's really called Pong Toss.

Well, that's the only way the game could reasonably be marketed to teens at least. And it is still receiving jeers from some critics who say that it is only a way for teens to practice for Beer Pong before they get to college. But the Wii game has taken all of the references to alcohol out of the game.

Beer Pong however is a beer-guzzling game, which in fact is the goal of the game. The players toss the ball into the cup partially filled with beer and should they make it into the cup, they force their opponents to have to down the beer in the cup.

The game originally had received a "T" Teen rating by the ESRB Board. Of course the Connecticut Attorney General, Richart Blumenthal then accused the board of being "under the influence" by granting such a rating. He said that such a game promoted alcohol use to teenagers and was absolutely inappropriate.

By removing the references of alcohol out of the game, changed the name to Pong Toss, it received then received an "E" for Everyone rating by the ESRB board. Then Mr. Blumenthal really lost it saying that now we are promoting a frat party game to small children and minors now.

Either way, we can expect Pong Toss to hit store shelves later this summer for about the price of a 12-pack, or $9.
