Nintendo of America Inc. has unveiled its pricing details for Wii Fit which will launch on May 19. Wii Fit with Wii Balance Board will retail for $89.99.
Wii Fit, which has sold more than 1.4 million copies in Japan, is Nintendo's latest attempt to appeal to all gamers and features over 40 activities such as yoga and aerobic exercises which are designed to improve strength, balance, and complete fitness. The Wii Balance Board responds to player movements and weight, and several third parties have already announced software that will also be compatible with the board.
{slot15}Consumers who pre-ordered Wii Fit from the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, between April 18-20, they will get the first 1,000 limited edition Wii Fit t-shirts with a reproduced autograph by Shigeru Miyamoto.
Nintendo describes Wii Fit as a combination of fitness and fun while promoting good health. Users can take a test each day by using the Wii Balance Board accessory to measure their Body Mass Index (BMI) and body control.
Based on the test results, users can determine their Wii Fit Age, much like Brain Age. You can chart your daily progress and compare it against previous results, as well as other friends and family who play Wii Fit.
