It has been five years in the making and finally Windows Vista launched yesterday, but not quite with the big bang that they had hoped for. And especially with many casual gamers who will find that Windows Vista will not work with many of their favorite games.
{slot15}About five hundred of the Internet's most popular downloaded games will not work with Microsoft's new operating system. Games from Yahoo, RealArcade, AOL, and even from Microsoft's own casual game site will not work on Windows Vista. At fault is the new security system that will not allow certain content to be downloaded and used. Many new computers have fixes available but those buying the new operating system off the shelf will not find those same fixes available.
The other question that must be asked is that if many games will not work with Vista, what else won't work with Vista? According to several surveys, about 77 percent of people using current Windows operating systems are concerned about upgrading to Windows Vista. This is not likely what Microsoft wants to hear as they just threw the biggest launch party since the Xbox 360.
Microsoft says that the "Wow is Now", but the kind of wow that many consumers are hoping for is a worry-free upgrade to Vista, and it is likely that they just won't find that now. for this reason, many of those surveyed are planning on waiting to upgrade until Microsoft works the bugs out of the new operating system. Microsoft is now working with these game developers to find some kind of solution but no one knows just how long that may take.
