We are seeing more and more information surfacing about a new and improved Xbox 360, though it is yet still just rumor as Microsoft has not yet responded to GameSHOUT's request for a confirmation or denial of the rumors. This rumor may have been confirmed in the XNA Game Studio forums as a Microsoft engineer was asked if the HDMI output will be changed on the revised Xbox 360 and the engineer confirmed that it would not see any changes.
So, maybe this rumor is true, and if it is, then what would a new Microsoft Elite Xbox 360 look like. First of all, black, even down to the wireless controllers. Then enlarge the hard drive to a full 120GB, and full HDMI support. We would love to see the HD DVD player built in also but that has not yet been addressed.
Microsoft is being said to be coming out with this new black Xbox 360 to counter the sales of the Sony PlayStation 3, and is said to be planned to coincide with the March European PS3 launch. The bulk of the rumors seem to be coming out of Australia, and the pricing is speculated to be around $759, or around £295.
