Rainbow Six Vegas 2; More than a Million Served

Ubisoft has another gold mine with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 as it has shipped more than 1 million units in a little over a week since its release on March 18th. The Rainbow Six series is one of the more popular of the Tom Clancy first person shooter series' and Vegas 2 is garnering more positive reviews from around the industry.

Analysts from Wedbush Morgan Securities estimate that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will sell more than 1.7 million units in the current quarter which ends in just more than a week. They also noted that Ubisoft's sales are up a comfortable 26 percent quarter-to-date compared to the company's guidance which bodes well for the game publisher.

Tom Clancy's work is a big driver for Ubisoft's business and the game publishing giant made sure that it is going to stay that way by locking the rights to the Tom Clancy name. This includes all of his books, movies, merchandising products, and of course video games. And as for video games, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 could be one of the top first person shooters for 2008.
