If you think that the 2005 smash hit, F.E.A.R. gave you something to be afraid of, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Monolith Productions sequel to F.E.A.R. receives a new, more descriptive name, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

Monolith Productions, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment Co., announced this week the new name of the sequel to the 2005 smash hit F.E.A.R.. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is set to release on February 10th, 2009 in North America and on the 13th of February in Europe for Windows PC, Microsoft Xbox 360, and the Sony PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is a more descriptive name giving us a better idea of what to expect from the sequel. Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said that “F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will continue the legacy of the original F.E.A.R. game with story and combat while adding new twists, gameplay and graphics to expand the players’ experience.”

F.E.A.R. took us into the inner workings of a Special Forces squad that deals with paranormal situations. And when the city of Auburn is rocked by a supernatural explosion. Alma, a girl with immense power and a thirst for revenge, has unleashed her wrath upon the city and thrown it into chaos. The squad must combat enemy forces and the supernatural as they struggle to find a way to stop Alma and uncover the mysterious forces arrayed against them before it’s too late.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will take us even deeper into that paranormal world to where it all began. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is an intense close-quarters action first-person shooter with over-the-top FX and graphics that will blow the player away while the involving storyline will keep the gamer hooked. We just can't wait to get our hands on the review copy!
