Microsoft Corp is moving closer to a Windows 7 release, according to NewsOXY's Microsoft News page.
The news is something many XP users have been waiting for. The company is hosting the Professional Developers Conference next month and will give Windows 7 to all attendees.
{slot15}The business technology giant gave no other specific details about the new operating system. However, Microsoft does plan to talk about the kernel and how the product will interact with hardware at next month's Professional Developers Conference (PDC)."
In addition, it was noted that Microsoft still has Windows 7 scheduled for an earlier release than 2010:
"According to Microsoft's official schedule log, Windows 7 is actually expected to ship in 2009 with no delays with its official beta."
It is possible that Microsoft is pushing the new release early to make up for Vista concerns. Although the software giant has launched several new Vista ads called "I'm a PC," critics want Bill and Jerry back.
