Microsoft has introduced a new mouse called the Explorer Mouse that is using a new Microsoft BlueTrack technology.

Microsoft Inc. has released its most advanced mouse to date. The Microsoft Explorer Mouse with Microsoft's BlueTrack technology. It will work on any surface, on wood, granite, or even on carpet. Microsoft has also added to its lineup, the Explorer Mouse Mini for those of you wanting a more compact version.

Microsoft says that the new Explorer Mouse is a "laser-killer", as it is able to be used on just about any surface and can exceed where optical and laser mice have failed. Both mice will be available in November, the Explorer Mouse retailing for $99.95 and the Mini for $79.95.

The BlueTrack technology combines the best of the optical and the laser mice. It is a wireless rechargeable mouse that can last for up to 3 weeks, and uses a mini transceiver for greater portability, allowing up to a 30 foot range. It also boasts of a blue lighting effect, making it a really futuristic looking piece of computer equipment.
