Disney Interactive Studios is bringing Ultimate Band to the Wii and DS. Gamers get to perform like real rock band stars. All you need is the Wii-mote, Nunchuck, and a little rhythm.

Disney Interactive Studios is bringing the Ultmate Band to the Nintendo Wii. Ultimate Band is a performance-based music video game where gamers perform rather than just play. All you need is a Wii-mote, Nunchuck, and a little bit of rhythm and you too can become the ultimate "air band."

Gamers will get into character and show off their skills playing drums, performing as the lead guitarist, or even performing the driving rhythm of the bass guitarist.

And if leading the band is your thing, then you can drive the crowd wild as you perform as the front man, or woman. Each song is recorded with both male and female vocalist. In some cases, the song features dual lyrics that let players sing about a "he" or a "she" to allow more versatility.

Ultimate Rock contains over 30 music tracks from top artists including Whip It, Out Time Now, CrushCrushCrush, I want You To Want Me, Hanging on the Telephone and more. New tracks have been announced that include All Day and All of the Night, Stumble and Fall, Move Along, Club Foot, Anna Molly, and Debaser.

Ultimate Band will not only be available for the Nintendo Wii, but also on the DS. It is currently set for release this holiday season.
