BlizzCon 2008 Tickets go on Sale August 11th
BlizzCon 2008 will be held in Anaheim California on October 10th and 11th.Blizzard Entertainment Enc. announced this week that tickets go on sale on August 11th for its third annual BlizzCon event. This year, live coverage will be available as an exclusive pay-per-view event by way of DIRECTV. BlitzzCon is a celebration of the global Blizzard gaming community surrounding the Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft game universes. BlizzCon 2008 will be taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim California on October 10th and 11th. According to Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, “Meeting and interacting with our players at BlizzCon is always a great experience for us." Mr. Morhaime further added that “We’re also pleased to be working with DIRECTV this year to bring the show, for the first time, to those players who are unable to attend.” BlizzCon 2008 is not just about getting a great group of Blizzard gamers together from communities all over the world. There will be tons of activities as well including discussion panels, hands-on playtime with upcoming games such as the World of Warcraft newest add-on, Wrath of the Lich King, there will be tournaments and contests and much more. Tickets will be priced at only $100 each in USD and available for purchase directly directly from the official BlizzCon website at http://www.blizzcon.com. The DIRECTV pay-per-view event will deliver a minimum of eight hours of live HD coverage from the show floor on each day of the convention and will include exclusive interviews, demos, and much more. DIRECTV will be running a promotion offering the BlizzCon event free to new DIRECTV subscribers starting in August so keep your eyes open for that.
